Bilge (twin) keels

Broker notes

This most popular small cruiser being the Sadler 29, with bilge keels is now available and used throughout her life for only family sailing.
Survey of 2007 concluded that she was in sound structural condition and well above average, bearing none of the signs of hard use - considered a very good example of this popular class.
Sails are considered to be 2011, but lightly used, new sprayhood and dodgers this year and interior clean and tidy - all port-lights refurbished by Eagle - new stanchion inserts fitted and replacement Lewmar hatch, upholstery excellent condition with matching curtains and a bound carpet.
The popular DV20 has received a full professional overhaul (2013) and new batteries fitted 2016.
Inflatable Zodiac 2.4m dinghy with Yamaha 2hp outboard complement a Spec suitable for family cruising, with life jackets included.

Improvements since 2007 have included:
2008 New Genoa from Kemp Sails Wareham. The sail is in excellent condition. New VHF Icom IC M421 Marine Transceiver and Portable VHF ICOM IC M31. New Self Inflating Life Jackets. Excellent condition with spare gas cylinders.
2011 In mast furling Mainsail seams restitched, leach retaped, repair to tape on UV by Kemp Sails. Mainsail is in very good condition. New Stanchion inserts, (supplied by Mike Lucas). New Navman Log.
2012 New Lewmar Ocean forehatch (supplied by Mike Lucas).
2013 Comprehensive Engine Overhaul - The Bukh DV20 Engine was completely stripped down by a local Bukh Agent and every component inspected. New items included all gaskets and oil seals, exhaust valves, piston rings, liners and bearings, fuel lift pump, exhaust elbow and engine mountings. The sea water pump and diesel injectors were reconditioned and the (standard) pistons, cylinder head assembly, exhaust manifold, thermostatic housing (lower and upper) and the diesel injector pump all refurbished. Engine hours less than 50 since overhaul. Starts first time. Runs quietly.
2015 All fixed windows refurbished and resealed (Eagle Windows)
2016 New Engine and Domestic Batteries.
2017 New Sprayhood and Dodgers. New NASA Depth Sounder and repeater.

Owner comments:
Jigger has been used as a family boat by her two owners (23 years and 10 years respectively) for all of her life. As such she has not had a hard life and has always been loved and well maintained to keep her safe and comfortable. All her lights and instruments have been kept in good working order, she has all six sets of original Sadler crockery and equipment like batteries, flares, extinguisher, life jackets, gas hoses for example have been serviced and/or renewed to ensure compliance and reliability. Her Bukh engine starts first time and is in excellent condition and so are her sails.
Every year she has spent 5 months ashore during which time the hull has been cleaned, inspected and antifouled. As a result her hull is clean and smooth.
The sails have been cleaned and kept ashore during the winter months together with the upholstery which is very good condition. The standing and running rigging have also been regularly checked and upgraded as necessary. Because she has been kept on a river mooring she has not been subject to a salt water environment except for when she has left Poole Harbour. The deck and superstructure are solid, the white gell coat is in an excellent state and the keel nuts are in near perfect condition as are the Sadler hull blue and red stripes.

Reason for selling:
We bought Jigger when our daughters were 8 and 9 years in 2007 and she has helped them learn to love the open water and become proficient in sailing. Now our daughters are at University and have little time for sailing we have regretfully decided that a 6 berth boat is too big for just the two of us and so we are looking to downsize.
